Subterranian termites. Judging by the wing veins, soldier's head and your area. Most common is Reticulitermes, and farther east Reticulitermes flavipes is extremely common and destructive.

for the ID. With that I can search the web on whether these Termites invade houses. This is a big concern since this tree stump is close to my house.
