Jumping Spider - Phidippus clarus

Jumping Spider - Phidippus clarus
Thompson Falls, Sanders County, Montana, USA
July 24, 2005
Size: around 15 mm
Very similar to .

This one is very similiar to
P. clarus I have found in Okeechobee County. It looks like a gravid female, too.

2nd guess
This is also very close to cardinalis, although it is not known to occur in MT.

Montana
Interestingly, we looked in Edwards book (1) and found one dot for clarus in Montana and it could be sitting right on Thompson Falls!

:)
That's so weird. Should I move this to clarus then?

Looking at it again,
I think you should move it there.

At least to the general Phid pics
maybe?

Jumper
Puzzling for the Montana list. But may be a juvenile female. And more difficult to relate to the known possibilities.
