LARGE LONG-HORNED BEETLE - Synaphaeta guexi

LARGE LONG-HORNED BEETLE - Synaphaeta guexi
Three Rivers, Tulare County, California, USA
April 27, 2009
Size: 1.5 inches
Monochamus? But the body is not as long and thin as the images i've seen and the markings are unique as well -?- It was found on a wood deck in the morning just hanging out. Big trees nearby are Oak and Eucalyptus. There are also piles of old/dead wood in the yard nearby. Has a face like a donkey!
