snail or slug hunter - Scaphinotus angusticollis

Size: 25 mm
Found in leaf litter (along with a lot of slugs, there is no shortage of prey here)

Unfortunately this beetle escaped and is in the house somewhere. I hope to find it and release it in my yard as a naturaly slug control agent.

The whitish marks are dirty spots.
