I don't know anything about these, just get a little cautious when I see one where the submitter didn't know "Honey Bee", but then IDs subspecies on their own. As I said, I don't know,

It is better to be cautious. I would move it back to species. Ironically probably many or most honey bees in this country belong to that subspecies. Maybe many others should be moved to subspecies if only an expert took a look at them. For now it would make more sense to keep them at specie level.
