May be something in the genus Trirhabda
in the guide here. Information says short third antenna segment. We see the short segment but can't see clearly enough to know if that is the third segment.

 
Short Second Antenna Segment
The short antenna segment is the second one, not the third. I hope this helps.

 
Leaf Beetle (Trirhabda)
Based on BugGuide photo #255157 and supporting photos, this appears to be a Skeletonized Leaf Beetle (Trirhabda) (but not a "Trirhabda bacharidis"). I sure would like to know where it got such a weird name as "Trirhabda", ...and why "skeletonized"?

 
Re: "Skeletonizing"
"Skeletonizing" makes more sense than "skeletonized" as I assume it consumes all the tender parts of a leaf, leaving only the leaf's tougher "skeletal" components.
