Callosamia promethea - Male
Denison University Biological Reserve, Licking County, Ohio, USA
This photo was taken on August 6, 2005, but I don't think there are any wild adults around right now. I removed the pupa from its coccoon to get a better look, and I guess I disturbed him enough to make him wake up and think it was next year! He was too fiesty to get a better picture than this one.
