Oh, dear....
This is a specimen of the "brown marmorated stink bug,"
Halyomorpha halys
. I didn't know, or had forgotten, that it has been recorded in California now. Check out this

about the species.

Marmorated stink bug
Hi Eric. Your "oh dear" comment got me worried and I went to look at that PDF file. Let's hope there won't be a full invasion of these little buggers. Actually, the specimen on the photo was dead when I found it on a window sill. You can tell because his antennas are all screwed up.
At least, this one won't do any harm.
