Boy, it sure would make me more comfortable it your mayfly had three tails, but perhaps it lost one. From what I can see of the wing venation, it looks like family Ephemerellidae to me. My guess would be that it's an Ephemerella invaria female imago. However, I was unable to find record of that species being present in Maryland.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I assume that it lost one of the tails, I didn't even notice until I had looked at the picture. Thanks for the ID
