only seen at night.... funny looking scuppers on the sides of its head

I think you got it....thanks. although most of the ref. material pointed to western and northern distribution. I'm on the central west coast of florida.

 
Not an ID

thanks John.... its only the second time I've seen one of these.. and first image... I've only seen them at night... usually when I'm photographing moths attracted to lights
