Species
I think that if you know the species of fig you can know the species of wasp; so that information would be very useful.

Finally, finally!
I have been requesting fig wasps for the past two or three years. I even created the page for the family in 2007 in the hope that somebody would find one soon. And this is a superb series and a superb photo. I knew about the wings but never saw it so well as in this image.
BTW males have no wings and don't leave the fig where they were born or at most they fall to the ground and die.
It is a big day for me; I will celebrate with fig Newtons and white wine.
