Dythemis fugax

The site seemed to be lacking some Setwing images. This is a female fugax or Checkered Setwing. We have added two counties for the state this past week here for this species that previously wrapped around Arkansas for some reason. Now in three counties. Note the large basal wing spots and the strong black and white markings. A lovely and distinctive Odonate.
