Size: ~ 15 mm
Found on the ground near an outdoor lamp. My best guess is Scarites.

Yes, Scarites in need of taxonomic revision.
However, current knowledge puts this specimen in S. subterraneus based on relatively small size, location, and distal antenna segments moniliform (roundish).

In the meantime, I excluded the mandibles in measuring the size. Is it right?

 
Apparent Body Length
often abbreviated "ABL" in recent literature is the measure (mm) taken from tip of mandibles to posterior apex of the body. Even if you add the mandibular span in this case, ABL will still be well within the normal range of S. subterraneus.
