Silky ant (Formica sp., fusca group) - worker
Sorry for having overlooked this picture until now. By selecting "images" at the Formicidae level, I was impressed by the quantity of still unclassed (yet most often readily identifiable) material that has accumulated. I'll do my best to change this.
