Stonefly

Stonefly
Perry County, Pennsylvania, USA
May 15, 2009
Size: 10 mm
It moved very rapidly when disturbed, and took flight a lot but never seemed to go higher than a few feet in the air.

This is obviously a shot of it taking off.

John's right, this is a female stonefly
Although the characters that would allow a more definitive ID are hidden or unclear, this is probably a perlodid. (Isoperla seems like a good possibility.)

Stonefly, I think
Compare Perlidae(1), which contains some yellow and orange species. Do you live near flowing water?
