One-spotted Variant - Hypagyrtis unipunctata

One-spotted Variant - Hypagyrtis unipunctata
Stafford, Stafford County, Virginia, USA
August 8, 2005
Attracted to porch light. Compared to Hodges #6734. Euchlaena marginaria.

I'd Call It 6655 - Hypagyrtis esther, Esther Moth.....
.... with maybe a 50% chance of being wrong (6654 - One-spotted Variant). Got a coin to flip? This is a lovely photo of a Hypagyrtis Variant. See Bob Belmont's Variants (20+ of them) at MPG.

You threw me...
...when you said 6655, knowing I had just recently posted that dark reddish brown version. :) I wish you could have seen the expression on my face when I viewed Bob Belmont's Variants as you suggested. Maybe I will skip these in the future. Just kidding. Thank you so much for your help.
