Pink Glowworm? Pink Glowworm? Pink Glowworm?

larva of the california pink glowworm
This is the larva of Microphotus angustus Lec, the pink glowworm of Essig is the adult female of this species. Can't tell whether this will become a male or a female. Males are winged, females are larviform and colored yellow with pink margins. Easy to find, just drive chaparral/oak woodland roads with headlights off at night. Feed it snails and raise it to adult. Mount exuvia on same point as adult specimen.
