Size: body about 8 mm long
Seen on ground in shade beside scrubby ledge, SE summit Houghton's Hill, Blue Hills Reservation, Quincy, MA. ID very tentative, based on BugGuide photos

you are certainly in the right area for them. It does look like the ones in the guide, I sure wish I knew the field marks to ID these.
