Perhaps the grown-up of this nymph . Found on the same Mandevilla plant. Arrow shows how you can tell this is a male without seeing the hind end.

Even though you can't see the end of the abdomen, you can tell it's male, because of the sound producing mechanism (altered venation) at the base of the top of the folded front wings.
