Dark Flower Scarab - Euphoria sepulcralis

Size: 12 mm, ex. unfolded wings
One of several (~dozens) very active beetles in loose swarm on small, dry hill prairie. Individuals would fly at grass (~2 feet) height, hover, alight, crawl briefly on vegetation and soil, then re-fly; constantly moving.
