Western stutter-trilling cricket - Gryllus integer - female

Western stutter-trilling cricket - Gryllus integer - Female
Medford, Jackson County, Oregon, USA
June 29, 2008
Size: 32mm
This is a large, mature female. ID is based on David Weissman's description of western Gryllus species. The long metathoracic wing length, jet black head and pronotum, light-brown tegmina, black hind femurs, association with human habitations, attraction to light, and distribution from California to southern Oregon, all seem to point to this species. A new guide page can be created for this field cricket.
