Mangora gibberosa? (orb-weaver)
I'm not not sure, but Eric recently ID'd the genus of one that looked very similar.

Using Eric's ID as a starting point, your spider is a good "visual" match (and size match) to Mangora gibberosa (or a very closely related species) in the Golden Guide, but that would need confirmation from an expert... :)

Orchard spiders are in the long-jawed orb-weaver family (Tetragnathidae), and this looks to be in the orb-weaver family (Araneidae).
