Sassacus papenhoei? - Sassacus

Sassacus papenhoei? - Sassacus
Rutherfordton, Rutherford County, North Carolina, USA
May 23, 2009
Size: 3-4 mm
Found on a crape myrtle bush, eating an ant. When I approached with the camera, it backed away and dropped its ant, but didn't go far. When I left for a few minutes and came back, it had taken its ant and hidden in the leaves.

Hmmm...
Looks more like Tutelina to me than Sassacus.
