Not sure what images are needed to ID because I'm not sure where to start looking.

I'd poke around here to see if you can find a good match Phyllophaga - May Beetles

I've had similar difficulties with my May beetles, and other chafers. I feel your pain. :)

You did a great job of photoing lots of different angles. I've found that critical with a number of insect categories. Recently discovered all my conehead katydid shots are not IDable because I didn't photo the front of their heads..
