Ok, worst case scenario...these are all variants of one species. I tried to post ones that looked at least slightly different.

Choristoneura occidentalis?
I think you are right and my bet is on Choristoneura occidentalis - 3640 - Western Spruce Budworm Moth. Check out the images at forestryimages.org here. Even if the species is wrong, I would think they could be moved the tribe or even genus level.

Nearly all the similar examples you've posted have a mark in the reniform spot area which range from a heavy black bar to a sort of broken dark hour glass shape.
