Great Black Wasp

Size: 1-2"
This is my 2nd photo (and a better one) posted here of this wasp. I'd greatly like to know the species. It seems to prefer feeding on milkweed flowers. It is a large, solid black, wasp with seemingly long legs. I am pretty sure this is a Great Black Wasp.
