Not sure if this is a moth or butterfly I suspect it to be butterfly and was curious as to its id.

Mourning Cloak
Someone - maybe yourself? - put this on the Mourning Cloak page. Looks good to me. Your other image of this specimen is not as sharp as this one and is a frass candidate IMO, since it doesn't show anything this one doesn't.

Sorry but I only requested an
ID. I did not move this to the proper page because I didn't know what it was. Even though I subscribe to ALL my postings. Some else must've moved it. I provided the bigger image in the off chance that there may be some detail that some expert other than myself couldn't detect in the slightly smaller image but may notice in the bigger one. I did plan on moving the bigger one to Frass but was not given the opportunity.

always have that option
You can always move any of your images to Frass, or anywhere else for that matter. Just tag them as you would in ID Request, and move them. BugGuide is very flexible when it comes to moving images. They can be moved repeatedly in and out of guidepages. They can be moved into frass, and then out again, if someone comes up with a good reason.
