Moth - Haploa

Moth - Haploa
Fairfield, IL, Wayne County, Illinois, USA
April 18, 2009
I collected the cat from an old Ageratina altissima (White Snakeroot/Eupatorium rugosum) stalk in my woods. It molted the day following and was raised on the same plant's leaves. It pupated into a bare chrysalis a week later, gathering the fresh leaves together in a loose bundle with a few silken threads and avoiding the leaf litter I had placed in the bottom of the jar.
