 Spreadwing Damselflies ? - female

Spreadwing Damselflies ? - Female
Eugene, Fern Ridge Wildlife Area, Lane County, Oregon, USA
May 26, 2009
Size: 1.25 inches
I took this Spreadwing cannibalizing another one (?) at Fern Ridge Lake Wildlife Area, Lane County, Oregon. It was biting the head off of another one and eating it. I never saw anything like it before

The eater is a spreadwing (but it's a female, note the big ovipositor). Not sure I want to attempt a species ID from this angle.
The victim looks more like a bluet (Enallagma) to me and I'd guess that it's Tule (E. carunculatum) although I'm far from certain.
