This might be
This might be typical subspecies viridis, but I'm not certain, and willI need to check which subspecies name applies to Anza Borego.

this one is actually
Hesperotettix viridis. I tend to think that Aeoloplides and Hesperotettix are close relatives. One clue is the slender hind femur on this one. Also, Hesperotettix species tend to have a rather glossy, almost transparent look, while Aeoloplides are not so. Also, this species is more slender than any of the Aeoloplides species. The external male "terminalia" are very similar. Hesperotettix species tend to be green, but brown individuals are also common in this species.
