Bactridium ephippigerum
Head striae and punctation, as well as coloration and general habitus look right. Another shot from the side would confirm.

I'm thinking Bactridium but would love another opinion, or any ideas on the species. I'm also very curious about the feeding preferences of this group, but haven't been able to find much info. I'm especially curious as to whether fungus-feeding is a common behavior. If anyone has any literature leads or even personal anecdotes to share, I'd be very interested!

seconded, Bactridium (suspect B. erythropterum)

My apologies for the confusion. I am simply curious as to whether fungus-feeding (or more generally, fungus-association) is known for Bactridium--or for Monotomidae in general. I haven't been able to find much about this and am wondering if my observation was an incidental visit to the fungus or if it might actually have been feeding there.
