Araneid? - Gea heptagon - male

Araneid? - Gea heptagon - Male
Paint Creek, Highland County, Ohio, USA
May 31, 2009
Size: 20-25mm legspan
Eye pattern and web make me think orb weaver. I can't find the abdominal pattern though. Found on a gravel/bar island in a woodland creek. Any ideas?

Not an ID
but reminds me of Gea heptagon

.
Looks about right to me. The pictures are quite variable, but the other male in a web I see here has a very similar eye pattern, abdomen pattern and carapace shape.
Thanks!
