Size: wingspan 47 mm +/- 2
At least I think it's a dagger. On slats below porch. Wingspan estimate based on width of slats, visible in uncropped photo.

I think that this moth is Acronicta rubricoma (9199). If the hind wings were showing, it would help.

9200 - American Dagger - Acronicta americana
.... and they look like something else when they are somewhat off-color.
