That's What It Is...........
Your earlier photos was of a lighter form and quite worn. This is a fresh, dark one. If you look at the Species Page at MPG you will see two photos by Machele White from her yard in Florida, one is of a very two-toned light specimen, the other of a dark, almost black specimen. You can find them in virtually every shade between the extremes.

I remember that I was very excited to find this geometrid last night (it seems all I ever run into anymore are Noctuids, so anything outside of that family is enough to get excited over), but the more time I spent with it, the more I started to suspect it was just a darker form of a familiar species. A very pretty moth nonetheless.
