Ixodes scapularis - nymph? - Ixodes scapularis
Frederick or Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
June 2, 2009
Size: 1.5 mm
This was removed from my arm. I had probably picked it up during field work in 2 different places over the last weekend.

This looks like a bloodfed Ixodes nymph, likely I. scapularis.
