Beetle with pointy part - Valgus canaliculatus - Female

Size: 1.3cm
Image selected to emphasize color and texture of the upper surfaces. Despite the appearance in the camera flash the beetle was very well camouflaged in the ambient light and nearly invisible against the bark unless it was moving.
