Saw this early in the morning in my front yard. I think it resembles the Stagmomantis carolina, but not exactly.

Pseudovates arizonae
the Unicorn Mantis. Look at the top of the head, there is a two-pronged "horn" there. When adult, it will have have brown and yellow hind wings.
