I'm not familiar with the life cycle of butterflies, but it looks like a swallowtail marking, but I don't know what kind.

The Mystery Pupa
I believe it is actually a Tersa Sphinx Moth Pupa, not a Swallowtail chrysalis. You can tell by its large size and eyespots along its side.
