An Eyespot Moth? - Automeris zephyria - Male
Near Carrizozo, Lincoln County, New Mexico, USA

Size: 1.5"
Upper side of hind wings have a 3/8" black spot on a yellow background. Very striking when wings fully open, but would not cooperate long enough in that state to get a photograph.
