Nessus Sphinx-five weeks - Amphion floridensis

Nessus Sphinx-five weeks - Amphion floridensis
Parkwood, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
June 7, 2009
Size: 63 mm
I have thought this was ready to pupate for a week, but it just keeps on eating, and growing. It looks like it might finally be done growing today--it is just over a month old. It now appears to be wandering around, looking for a pupation site.
