This cluster of weevils was on our hollyhock. Seemed they were all ganging up on a single female.

I sent a previous image in with a pair mating, Eric Id'd it as a Hollyhock weevil as well. I looked up some additional info. I found an article that said while the female oviposits she will usually be surrounded by several males. Must be the activity taking place in this photo. These are sure interesting little weevils. My hollyhocks have a large population of them.
