Stonefly - Perlesta

Stonefly - Perlesta
Pepperell, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
June 7, 2009
Size: 5.5mm
Caught in the Nissitissit River.

Moved
Moved from Common Stoneflies.

Perlesta sp.
It is a mostly grown Perlesta, but different from the heavily freckled species (which is the common "n.sp." from our area). It could be nitida - the area of the state is certainly correct, but the larva of this species is undescribed and there could be other undescribed species in New England that I don't know about.

Young Perlid
Strictly a guess, but perhaps a little Paragnetina.
