Size: inch more if count legs
long legged "thingamajig", yea thats the scientific name I have for it, as it is just hanging out on my pecan tree in the back yard.

Not an expert but...
Looks like a crane one of the Crane Flies (Tipulidae) to me...

An example, but maybe not this exact thingamajig (species)...
