Malacosoma americanum

Malacosoma americanum
Somerset County, New Jersey, USA
Size: 35 mm - 1-1/2"

hmm...
does anyone know if these possibly overwinter as pupae in Lancaster Co, pa? because I saw a few moths in June, but I haven't seen any tents yet. We don't get tents until mid july.

Forget it. I found out that these are Fall Webworm Moths, not tent cat moths.
