Is this a Juvenile Common Whitetail Male? - Plathemis lydia

Is this a Juvenile Common Whitetail Male? - Plathemis lydia
Brantford, Ontario, Canada
June 11, 2009
Yesterday this litle one spent the night on our wall just under our den window. After doing a search this morning, hubby informed me that it was a juvenile Common Whitetail male, but a friend of mines says otherwise. Can someone please help me with a proper ID? I've posted two photos, one of it's topside and the other of a profile. Hopefully someone will be able to help me.

Thanks in advance. *S*
