Blister Beetle, Meloidae, possible Nemognatha sp - Nemognatha scutellaris
Providencia Pond, Almaden Quicksilver County Park, Santa Clara County, California, USA

Size: ~10-12 mm
Beetle appears to be a Meloid, cf Nemognatha. Differs from previously noted Nemognatha in having black on head. This one found on Narrow-leaved Milkweed, Asclepius fascicularis.
