Fly on water - Hydrophorus alboflorens

Identification

This (most probably male) specimen belongs to the genus Hydrophorus (or perhaps Hydatostega) and are known to scate on water surfaces in search for prey or mates. Hydrophorus is a rather species rich genus in the northern Hemisphere and has been treated thorougly by prof. Richard Hurley (State University of Montana) who is an as absolute authority on this and other hydrophorine genera(see Hurley, 1985, 1995).

Long-legged Fly

This is a Long-legged Fly, family Dolichopodidae. I wouldn't want to hazard a guess as to what genus.
