Possible P. metricus? - Polistes metricus - female

Possible P. metricus? - Polistes metricus - Female
Pennsylvania, USA
June 14, 2009
So far I have found a few specimens that might be P. metricus, but cannot be confirmed 100% sure

Found this wasp and small nest at Wildwood park. Is this P. metricus?

Despite the wonderful comparison of the sterna of P. fuscatus and metricus found in the Vespid atlas, to my untrained eyes I still have trouble distinguishing between the two when in the field.

Moved from Polistes. Pretty sure this is metricus.
