Size: 12 mm
Defensive posture with hind legs extended, as photogrpaher approached. Plant is Common Milkweed, Asclepias syriaca.

Length measured by capture and photographing adjacent to a scale.

ID TBA--PC. (Possibly should be moved up to genus level--there is another species in this area--see comments on one image.)
