I think you've got the genus,
and I get to N. pellucidus; see key to Nearctic genera of Therevidae. However, I might have made a mistake. I suggest to send your collection of images to Martin Hauser, or to one of these Therevid specialists.

I actually had been asking Martin about Nebritus and mentioned that I would be posting these images, but he was headed out of town so I don't think he's seen them yet. What he had said to me via e-mail regarding the potential for species ID was, "there are 2 described and one undescribed species, and I am not sure if somebody described it so far... I will check on that."

Thank you for attempting to key this one out, and I will be very curious to hear what Martin has to say upon his return.
